FAQs
How is the price calculated?
We analyse your STL or OBJ geometry directly: lateral face area determines shell volume, flat face area determines top/bottom solid layers, and the remaining interior is filled at your chosen infill %. We then use volumetric flow rate (like a slicer) to estimate print time. Final formula: material cost + machine time (£5/hr) + £3.50 handling.
What file formats do you accept?
STL and OBJ files are fully analysed — we read the exact geometry. STEP, STP and 3MF files use a manual size estimate and are confirmed after review.
When do I pay?
No upfront payment. After submitting, we send a secure payment link by email within 2 hours. Printing only starts once payment is confirmed.
How long does it take?
Most prints are ready in 1–3 business days. UK standard delivery adds 1–2 days. We confirm your estimated delivery date when we send the payment link.
Is the estimate exact?
It's very accurate for STL/OBJ files since we read the actual geometry — similar to what a slicer does. For manual size estimates it may vary slightly. We always confirm before charging.
